What to expect

Your step by step guide to the Talent Academy program

Over the 2 years, your training will be broken down into a series of milestones. This will comprise of foundational classroom learning through to hands-on, billable work for our customers.

Below is a typical progression path our trainees take.

Talent Academy progression path

3 months

  • Classroom based training

  • Build good theoretical & practical knowledge of basics

  • AWS Foundation & Practitioner

6 months

  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate certificate

  • Gain hands-on experience (billable or shadowing)

  • Build deeper understanding of real world application and project environment

12 months

  • Working on Customer engagements

  • Working under the guidance of senior engineers

  • AWS Developer Associate certificate

18 months

  • AWS SysOps Admin Associate certification

  • Able to work in a broader context in AWS projects

24 months

  • AWS Speciality certification

  • Working independently with limited guidance from senior engineers 

What will you be learning?

Classroom learning is broken down into a series of sprints, each sprint is designed to enhance your cloud knowledge and provide a solid foundation for practical application.

Typical classroom topics include:

Sprint 1 

Upskilling in programming, networking, system administration and Cloud basics, with an Introduction to IaC (Infrastructure as Code).

Sprint 2

Understanding the core AWS services and managing resources with Terraform.

Sprint 3

Looking at automated configuration management through CICD Pipelines.

Sprint 4

Learning the best practices of Migration to AWS and a Deep Dive into the Cloudamize tool that helps customer in their Cloud journey.

Sprint 5

Group project challenge.

After the initial classroom sprints you will explore other subject areas including AWS IoT, container services, big data and analytics solutions and machine learning services and tools.

How will you be measured?

Training KPIs will be shared with you when you join Cloudreach. These are specifically tailored to individuals over time but typically include a series of training goals set over the 2 year period. 

During performance reviews with your line manager, you will have the opportunity to discuss your progress and get feedback across a range of areas including behavioral, deliverables, training goals and professional services personal KPIs. 

An overall performance rating will be shared with you.

Individuals will own a development plan tailored to their needs which
is more granular and feeds into the higher level goals.
